Deep Space
To perform Deep Space exploration, you can only move 1 ship as part of the Advance action.
Galactic Laws
Galactic Laws are resolved after all End-of-cycle effects.
Galactic Trade
- At the end of each cycle, commodities are refreshed with new ones. This entails placing the top card of each commodity deck at the bottom of its deck. Commodity card decks can be manipulated using Insight.
- When not using the Mercenaries module, disregard the text related to mercenaries on the Galactic Trade action cards; players do not add mercenaries.
- Negotiations for potentially sharing trade benefits with an enemy colony can occur at any time, but the trade itself takes place at the end of the action phase. You can include the option of retreat in these negotiations, but the agreed terms are not mandatory.
- When you generate commodities using a Galactic Trade action card, you must place the standee on a sector that matches the commodity type (e.g., arid commodity on an arid sector).
Starbase
Starbases are unable to retreat; any retreat damage incurred is treated as standard damage.
Emissaries
You can trigger an invasion with Incite Rebels without requiring units with the Invade ability or any units at all.
Election
- After being revealed and voted upon, Election cards are set aside, freeing up slots on the Action board.
- The emperor has a neutral option when deciding effects: They can choose the top effect, the bottom effect, or return the faction token back to the player.
